DDNF Memorial Tree

The National Memorial Arboretum, which is near Alrewas in Staffordshire, opened in 2001, and is run by the Royal British Legion. It is the home of the impressive Armed Forces Memorial, which was unveiled in 2007.

In June 2008 a group of DDNF members from the local area and from Portsmouth gathered at the Arboretum on a very wet day to dedicate the Fellowship’s tree. A short service of dedication was conducted by the padre, Rev Simon Lumby. After lunch members were taken on a fascinating tour of the Arboretum by one of the very knowledgeable guides.
